Our researchers review each provider using current public information, including official provider websites, plan or tariff documents, fee schedules, and relevant regulator or government resources.

• Confirm the provider is still operating and accepting new customers where possible.
• Check current states or network areas served.
• Review published plans, fees, incentives, green options and service notes.
• Store the source URLs and last-reviewed date with the provider record in Sanity.
• Flag pages older than 90 days so they show an outdated-content notice.

If exact pricing cannot be verified reliably, we do not invent numbers. We say rates vary by postcode and distributor and direct readers to the current Energy Fact Sheet or Basic Plan Information instead.
